I think I'm back.
I managed to delete all of the db for my Movabletype installation. I left all my archives. I've been busy as hell, but still had the hope that I could recover completely from my archive files. Maybe someday I will. I'm tired of screwing around with it and I miss posting, so I skipped it. Blah. You would think the MT archive files would be compatible with the import format (or atleast a utility to convert between the 2). No such luck.
I took the time to go ahead and use mysql for the db instead of berkley db. After I thought I cleared that hurdle, I found that my perl stuff didn't work (gallery, etc). So, I had to reinstall apache, mod_perl, php, etc.... Then, I checked the sensors and noticed they were out of wack. So I compiled the 2.6.3 kernel (from 2.6.2), and rebooted. My machine mysteriously turned off after 1 minute after each reboot. I went to the lunch-box like machine and noticed it was as hot as hades. Apparently, the fan decided become unplugged, so the machine had NO ventalation. Anyways, Im surprised it still worked. It was the hotest I have ever felt any motherboard/harddrive/case/powersupply.... and I've worked with ALOT of machines. I guess I'm lucky.
Anyways, we signed on the house and they will start building very soon. :-) Yay!!
Christine has been having her mail stolen for the last 2 months. The postmaster wrote her in conjunction with the Garland police and said they caught a 'non employee' in posession of her mail. Their investigation in the matter apparently left her mail unable to preform its original duties, so they ended up sending copies to her. So, she had to go change credit card numbers, etc...
Beer anyone?
